Chelsea Bernhardt - better known as "Scarletchild" - is a full time professional surrealism artist, illustrator, and designer from Connecticut. Chelsea's artwork feels like a strange dream, often featuring portraits presenting as a mirror for the viewer. These mirrors strike the subconscious and pull the viewer into a mystical realm full of depth and intensity, refusing to let go.

Her mission is to create art that seeks to integrate darker themes with the inherent goodness within it and vice versa - a yin and yang of duality. She hopes to create striking artworks that elicit reflection and transformation in the viewer. 

While having a range of goals, she mostly aspires to illustrate and author books for the younger generations, using her portraits to illustrate stories of spiritual lessons, realization, and acceptance. In addition to books, she also aspires to paint large scale murals in an effort to elevate the masses.
