Chelsea Bernhardt - better known as "Scarletchild" - is an artist, illustrator, and designer from Connecticut. The name "Scarletchild" derives from a personal astrological composition. With the planet and zodiac sign of passion (Pluto and Scorpio) in the natal 5th house of passion as well as the inner child and creativity, an intense passion for art with plutonic and darkened undertones is born. The colour of red reflects this passion, intensity, and boldness. The name "Scarletchild" became the embodiment of her intent to connect with her inner child as well as her passion and boldness. Her art becomes a dalliance between these themes: a boldness of emotion and innocence often with a dark, psychedelic twist. The focus is to elevate feminine grace as well as strength. Her mission is to create art that seeks to integrate darker themes with the inherent goodness within it - a yin and yang of duality. She hopes to create striking artworks that elicit feelings of inner strength, acceptance, and passion within the viewer.

While having a range of goals, she mostly aspires to illustrate and write books of her own, as well as mural work. Her dream is to travel the world and paint her ladies as murals across the globe to inspire and elevate the masses with much needed imagery of feminine grace intertwined with complimentary strength and power.
